If you have DirectX 9 you will need to download this file and place it in your main WoG folder (the folder that has the h3wog.exe file) in order to play Multiplayer games over the Internet or a LAN network. If you have DirectX 8 or earlier, you will not need this file and it is not needed if you don't play online games of WoG.
To check your version of DirectX, click on the Start button and choose "Run". Type "dxdiag" and click OK. A DirectX diagnostics dialog box should appear. On the first page you will see a list of System Information. The bottom entry is your current DirectX version.
All players in a network game must have this file installed to connect properly to each other. |
